If you are experiencing or develop any of the following symptoms – please seek immediate medical attention by calling 111, 999 or visiting your nearest Emergency Department.
- Chest pain – such as a heavy, tight, or squeezing sensation in the centre of your chest, especially if it spreads to your jaw, neck, or arms (possible signs of a heart attack).
- Stroke symptoms – sudden facial drooping, difficulty speaking, or inability to lift both arms, as well as weakness or numbness on one side of the body.
- Severe breathing difficulties – gasping for air, struggling to speak, choking, or blue lips.
- Seizure (fit) – someone is shaking or jerking uncontrollably or is unconscious and cannot be woken.
- Sudden confusion – an abrupt change in mental state, difficulty thinking clearly, or being unaware of surroundings.
- Serious injuries – including deep wounds from an accident or trauma.
- Poisoning – having swallowed something harmful such as medication, batteries, or household chemicals.
- Heavy bleeding – that cannot be stopped.
- Rapid swelling – especially of the eyes, lips, mouth, throat, or tongue (potential sign of a severe allergic reaction).
